Aveeno Products & Books

Dry skin is a problem for me. I get a lot of dry skin on my face and also on my body so I was eager to try the Aveeno products that I received in the post.

I received three different products, Aveeno Moisturising Cream, Aveeno Bath & Shower Oil and Aveeno Moisturising Lotion.

The first product I tried was the Aveeno Moisturising Cream. This is what it says on the side of the box;

Aveeno Cream is formulated with Colloidal Oatmeal to actively moisturise dry and sensitive skin.
Regular use helps prevent dryness and irritation caused by skin dehydration.

I use this on my face which I seem to have a huge problem with dry skin on. The cream is white and quite thick in consistency. It has virtually no scent. It soaks into the skin really quickly and leaves no residue.

I apply this to my face every morning without fail paying particular attention to my t-zone and cheeks which is where the dry skin is a real problem. My skin feels instantly softer and less dry. After just one application my skin felt a lot better, less dry and very smooth. Continuous use and the dry skin is now gone.

A little of this cream goes a long way. I only need a small amount to apply to all of my face.

This is a must have product for me. If I go away anywhere it is in my bag with me.
This comes in a 100ml tube.

The next product to try was Aveeno Moisturising Lotion. This is what it says on the side of the box;

Aveeno Lotion with Colloidal Oatmeal actively moisturises dry and easily irritated skin, providing a prolonged soothing action. Leaves skin softer and more supple. With regular use, it helps prevent dryness and irritation caused by dehydration.

I do not suffer with bad dry skin on my body but I sometimes get it on my legs and feet so I used this as more of a preventative measure. Every time I have a shower I apply this to my body. The lotion is white and quite thick in consistency. There is no scent to this. It soaks into the skin quickly and leaves no residue.

My skin feels lovely after I have used this, silky smooth and feels more hydrated.
This comes in a 500ml bottle.

The last product I tried was the Aveeno Bath & Shower Oil. This is what it says on the side of the box;
Aveeno Oil bath & shower oil with Colloidal Oatmeal and softening oils, thoroughly cleanses, moisturises and conditions dry and sensitive skin. May be used in the bath or shower.

I am not a lover of using oils in the shower but I did give this a try. The oil is brown and runny in consistency. There is a scent to this but it is not strong. My skin did feel nice using this and actually it didn’t feel oily after use at all.
This comes in a 250ml bottle.

Aveeno is great for those with dry and sensitive skin but also those with eczema prone skin. It is suitable for children and adults.

Aveeno have also two great children’s books out that are available to download on their website here.

The first book is called The Dry-ventures of Ellie & Eddie Bye Bye Dry Skin! Which is centred on the triggers of dry skin and also on bath time.

The second book is called The Dry-ventures of Ellie & Eddie Happy Skin Holidays which focuses on the challenges associated with setting up a regular dry skin routine when out and about.
Both books are by Penelope Harper.

My daughter has read both of these books and she really likes them. Not only are they a children’s books but they are fantastic for children with eczema or dry skin as they focus on the skin problems. At the back of the books is a page to colour in too.
