Mary Kent April 9, 2017 We may be adding on a master bath to our existing master. As I've researched , I came across the steam shower whirlpool combos . I had a whirlpool bath in a previous home, that I used a handful of times over a ten year period . Was nice to have, but mainly once the bath was full I had consumed all of our hot water. If you have one of these units, would you buy it again? Does it heat the water for the bath or just the steam shower? We are space limited so would need with a stand alone shower or a combo unit. Lincolnwood homeowner Deb Machalinski still hasn't tried the luxurious steam shower she installed in her first-floor bathroom last summer. We have bamboo towels and they are incredibly soft. I love them! I think they are softer than cotton, but this also makes them a little less long-lasting. Worth it, I think. As far as mildew goes, I think they are about the same as cotton. They are both cellulose-based fibres. Hang the towels to dry in between showers, that will help a lot. I put 1/4 cup of bleach in the wash water ( front loading washer ) to kill mildew and remove the smell. Not EVERY wash, just once in a while. You can bleach once a month or more if you notice mildew smell or if you are sneezing more than normal. Use real chlorine bleach , not the colour-safe stuff. You don't need to use bleach every time you wash them if the towels are dried properly between uses. Bleach of course will fade the colours, but it's the only way. This is why I use only white towels, which look and smell fantastic after bleaching. Also, do not add fabric softener to your towels, this decreases their absorbency.

After a long day I regain my sanity with a nice soothing bath . But if I don’t have time for a long hot bath, I have my plan B – a L’ Occitane enriched shower . Technically I never purchased anything full price at Bed, Bath, and Beyond before. I mean they have coupons ALL the time so why not take advantage of 20% off that new toaster that toasts breads, makes coffee, and walks the dog at the same time right? Well, actually, I use the coupons more for beauty as the Bed, Bath, and Beyond store I go has a rather larger makeup section . I also happily use them at Harmons since they are both the same company. I’ve always felt like Bed, Bath, and Beyond was a touch high for their kitchen gadgets and doodads. Typically if I need a new coffeemaker or a toaster, or anything home related I shop it on Amazon where I can get $20, $30, or more dollars less than Bed, Bath, and Beyond and yes, that’s factoring in the coupons the store provides. They seem awfully overpriced to me on some of the items they stock in stores. So those fab coupons are saved and used up on a variety of makeup and beauty items I purchase at Harmons. J T January 26, 2017 I have 2 bed, 1 BATH condo that has a small bathroom--7.5 ft x 5 ft. The condo is 13 years old, and I'm considering remodeling the bathroom. I love walk-in showers and would like to take out the bathtub and replace with the walk-in, but don't know how a walk-in shower helps/hurts resale value. Any helpful thoughts or suggestions?
