Pretty awful - Review of Newlands Country House, Southwold

Run down, damp and unattractive.....the swimming pool was closed (they do not tell you this when you book) and no WiFi (advertised as having it). The bathrooms are cold and damp (ours had mould on the blind) not helped by the wet room - so if you had a shower (which was a dribble of water) everything got wet. Horrible institutional feel. The bedrooms are clean but very odd. Couples be warned -the doubles are 2 singles pushed together!

The religious posters in every room are rather off putting.... breakfast nice but very limited (no fresh fruit, no yogurt, no museli, only English available as cooked option) with luke warm coffee

Overpriced for what it was.

Positives - the place is very clean, warm and the beds are comfortable but I would not visit again.

Room Tip: Do not go!!!!

Steve Martin's new play METEOR SHOWER will be coming to Broadway's Booth Theatre this fall starring Emmy and Peabody Award- winning comedian Amy Schumer , Tony- winner Laura Benanti , another Emmy and Peabody Award-winner Keegan-Michael Key, and Alan Tudyk. Previews begin Wednesday , November 1, 2017 at Broadway's Booth Theatre ( 222 West 45th Street ). Opening night is set for Wednesday, November 29.
