Master Bathroom Progress Week of August 14

Last Monday was a day off as there was no workers, but on Tuesday and Wednesday the carpenters came to work more on the trim and they installed the vanity base and a large built in.

After trying six samples of paint colors and even going back and having some black added to a color the cabinets look rather light when the light pours in, but they'll be fine. I was going for a gray blue and that is what they are.

Can't wait to have this dressing area to sit down at to apply my makeup. Once the top is on the vanity the tile guys will return to tile this wall. I hope the doors get installed soon, too.

Cute little feet added to make the vanity look like a piece of furniture.

The walls around the tub were trimmed.

I can't wait until this green stain glass window is gone. The new window should be installed next week. It is here and in the garage.

This built in will have adjustable shelves and a cabinet door will go on that opening. This is going to be so nice for storage as we have no linen closet and I used a hutch before.

Our old door was turned into a pocket door which we love.
Hopefully someone will show up soon to talk about the counter for the vanity. That is a hold up for now. It is very hard to get things done that have anything to do with building these days as so many workers returned to Mexico when we had the building slump and now building is booming again and there just aren't enough subs.
There is a lot of caulking and hole filling for the mister to do and then we will start painting.
So it's coming along and looking more like a bathroom.

Enjoy your day!
