Just another thought - mine was part of a basement conversion, so I already had building control involved to inspect. They made me alter the layout a couple of times until they were happy.

You may need their involvement if you make changes. I know people think they are there just to hinder you, but they are just wanting to make sure things are done correctly. In my case, it was mainly about pipe sizes and access points.

It may be worth a day of a pro's time for you. You don't want problems after it is all sealed. The last thing you need is a leak in an inaccessible place.

Oh, and you need to make sure it is vented properly. Less of an issue with such minor changes, but you don't want gurgling or syphoning to occur.
